Replaced both wheels/tires, replaced all the brake pads and flushed the brake lines. Yea, I am going to take a nap now.

I still plan on CB, even if it's raining and I have to cage it, so I won't miss out on everything. Overtime is still a wild card and I won't know if I squeek by without getting nailed after being gone for so long until the morning of the 17th.

I didn't remember which thread this was. So far today, I answered a post about the volt meter on my wing. It's SUPPOSED to be a nice day later, so I plan to ride for most of it. I better get some sleep first.

I didn't get a lot of sleep, but I did manage to put some miles on the wing. MrsY was still worn out from the races last night and chose not to go with me. I took off and headed west, north, west, south, east, south, and east. 175 miles and 3 1/2 hours later, I made it back home. The best part is I got 47.5 MPG. It could have been a liitle more, but I noticed the average was dropping when I was cruising over 75 MPH (which I did a few times). My left arm got tired from  at other bikers. That happens on sunny sundays. Sometimes when I get home from a ride, I get the :cold: shoulder. Today, when MrsY asked how my ride was, I went for some brownie points and said it was lonely without her.

I got home today and went out and cranked the wing and let her warm up some.

I also installed new floor boards and new dash knobs ( vent adjuster knob and headlight adjuster knob). More tomorrow....

Two nights ago, MrsY asked me if I wanted to go for a ride. She didn't have to ask me twice. In true goldwing fashion, we went to DQ, but not the one in our own town. What fun would that be? We went to the DQ that is 20 miles away, which is also where gas is a bit cheaper. We took the scenic route home, going a bit under 55 MPH. The computer showed that I was getting 53.5 MPG, and it's usually pretty close to my actual MPG.

Took the wing out to run to Best Buy to get a cable for the GPS to link to computer so I can download new map updates. Also while out on our 100 plus mile ride we stopped at a DQ for some ice cream and a coke.

MrsY and I rode about 45 minutes to a state park that had a lot of people fishing in ponds and on a river. We were happy to find an icecream stand in the park. That meant we didn't have to leave the park to go find some. Once we got home, I dropped off MrsY and picked up my son and took him to my parent's house. A few hours later, it was time to head home. Temp for the first ride was upper 60s and the second ride was lower 60s. Since we the whole day was a 100 mile sightseeing joyride, low speeds netted 46 MPG. I may be saving gas when I ride to work by doubling the gas mileage of my cage, but I burn all that and more with all the FUN rides I take. OH WELL!

The wife needed something from Target this morning and I volunteered to go get it for her......of course I took the wing to make the store run......it was a nice early morning ride...

I also saw a 2002 GL 1800 parked on the side of the road with a big FOR SALE sign on it.....and I had to stop and take a look.....nice wing with all the bells and whistles.....only 75,000 miles on her and the pice tag was $11,495.

I opened the trunk and got out my sunglasses. Felt strange not to be on it today.

I needed some spray paint, so I took the 86 on a little run to Walmart. Stopped off and filled her up with gas. 99 degrees here today so wasn't a very cool ride.
