I got a request from a member asking if I could start a post on how many miles we all have on our wings.

I thought this could get pretty interesting, so here we go.

When I bought my 98 wing it had 34,000 miles on it.

It now has 48,000 miles and going strong...

Mine has 255000 on it. Just bought it from my best friend, so he gets the credit for the mileage but I hope to get another 100000 out of it.

Bought my '86 this past April. it had 93,000 miles on it. Since I have just started to ride and spent time learning on short trips (plus it was summer and we went visiting our kids a lot) I only put about 500...600 miles on it. BUT...when next summer comes...LOOK OUT!!

Good post Dean. Bought my 2008 Wing near the end of October last year with 7300 miles and parked for the season end of October this year with 23000. Had a great season and hope to start working on breaking it in a little more early in the New Year.

.

Bought my 97 SE in May of 2006 with 54,488 KM on it.

Put it in the corner of the garage Nov 15, 2010 with 85,518 KM. Its just sitting there waiting for all of this white sh-- to melt and get going again.

I also have a 86 XL350 that I ride along with my bushwhacking Son. Maybe I should say chase my bushwhacking Son because he is 34 and the wick is always twisted. He runs ahead and I chase him.

Good thread, its nice to know the history behind everyones horse.

When I bought my 96 SE almost a year and a half ago it had about 80500 miles and now it has about 86000 mile.

I ride in a van pool to work and back so the mileage on my wing and my truck stays low, also helps on fuel cost, wear and tear.

Wrecked my '99 SE with around 31K on it. Traded in my '05 Sabre with about the same on my present '08 GW in July '08 which at present has 58K.

Darn, I've been off for a week, the weather has been good, but I've been under the weather. I've put less miles on it this week than I normally do in a day.

17-18000/ year.
