I have a 1987 Interstate and want to relocate the trunk. Has any one used the bracket? If so does it work?

My 86 had the trunk relocation bracket on it. It gave about 2 inches more room to the passenger.

My brother was going to buy one, but instead we used a piece of 2 inch by 1/4 inch aluminum flat stock (about $10 at true Value) and made one for him. It worded great and we were actually able to move the trunk about 4 inches total.

I would make one again rather than pay the price for one that has only one set position.

Its a very easy DIY project, and it only takes about 45 minutes to do.

hello and welcome to NAGF bigkenn2, i sold my '84 aspy about two months ago. i had put the trunk relocation bracket on it and wish there was one for the 1500s cause i think it needs another two inches too plus its a hassle to have to remove the driver backrest when i need to carry a passenger
