Not another HF trailer.....

I bought a small utility trailer back in 1989 from Payless cashways. After sitting since 1993, I decided to rebuild it for the M&G. I don't have any before pictures, but I do have some of the trailer right after the rebuild started.

This is after I narrowed the frame 6 inches and gave it a coat of paint. Then I bolted the frame back together....

I decided to go with ply- bead siding from Lowes for the base edged with aluminum......

The cooler rack was made the same way with some aluminum angle and some flat stock.

LED's finished the front......

With the axle narrowed 6 inches it was bolted back in place....

Lights from a 34 Ford finished the rear end.......

The box I found on Craigslist and put me back another $20.

A trip to the carwash made a big difference......

Yep, there's two bulbs per light. One is the Stop/turn signal and the other is a running light. Both are now clear LED's.

Update........

Well the trailer pulled great leaving home but sadly, the good times wouldnt last. Someplace between Flagstaff and Albuquerque, I lost my left tail light assembly including tail light, mount, license plate bracket and license plate. I was on the phone until 10:00 am with DMV in Nevada getting a replacement plate sent to my sisters house in Oklahoma, the light I replaced with a cheap light from AutoZone. It looked like crap! That got me into Tulsa. friday morning started as bad as Thursday as my bank shut off ny AM card thinking it might have been stolen crossing two state lines in a day. After that was cleared up, I was again on my way.

50 miles out of town I had a tire blow on my trailer. Upon closer inspection, I found my front spring hanger had failed and had cracked the trailers frame. A tow truck was called and repairs were done in Adair, Ok. They added two pieces of angle iron to the side rails of the trailer and in 6 hours, I was again on my way.

Here are a few pics........

Today I found a classic auto parts dealer in Oklahoma City that had all the parts I needed to put my tail lights back the way they were suppose to be.....
