Nice. Thanks Brian.

OK Hodgy, now see if you can make these things work in the cornering light spot. Man that would be great.

I have to take the lower fairing off to look for a key ........, don't ask. Will have a look at the cornering light and see what I can do.

Brian thanks for the measurements, I may be ordering two more lights if it looks promising.

In the very last pic you posted it looks like the LED's are shining through the reflector back. Is that right ?

You know it looks like if you band saw the front plate off of the reflector boobs, you might be able to get the rest into the lower turn light housings.

If still too wide, you could just cut back further at the point where the cones are just wide enough to fit inside the turning light housing.

Water tightness would be another issue.

You are right Rudy. Did I just say that ?

The circuit board and all needs to be waterproof as water will ruin them in short time.

Ya I said Rudy was right.

Finally got my lights installed. I ended up getting a light bar for em. I don't much care of the looks of them with the lightbar and all but I LOVE the etra light they give me at night. I ended up wiring mine directley into the factory wiring for the cornering lights. There was one treminal that was hot with the key all the time.

Satan asked how I made the light bar.

I did not do a photo documentation for the light bar but if you can weld it should be simple. I used all stainless material including the welding rods. In using stainless you don't have to paint and it looks good.

1/2" rod

1 1/2" flat bar, (as a seat for the base of the lights.

1 1/2" angle. (used for mounting to the two bolts under the headlight).

Made the rod 21" long to fit within the bike width. Weld the two 1 1/4" flat bar on the ends of the rod and drill holes for the mounting bolt on the light.

Cut two pieces of the 1 1/2" angle and drill holes in one end to fit to the bolts under the headlight. Mount the two pieces of angle on the bike.

Then place the rod on the angle making sure the the flat bar ends are level and tack weld the rod to the angle. Protect your tupperware with a sheet of tin or whatever you have.

Remove the assembly from the bike and finish welding the angles on. Grind off the excess angle sticking out and you are done.

I will try and upload some pics later tonight.

And vtxcandyred needs a tutorial also.

The photos show rust and red paint on the stainless. Don't know why but there is no rust or paint on them. Hope you guys can figure out what I did here. Hard to get a clear shot at the angle mounts as the deer chasers and air horns are in the way.

Thank you Hodgy, My tiny brain is now much more clear on the tab-to-fairingstay mounting... Not sure why, but I just couldn't "grasp" the how-to there.

Thank you very much, indeed.

Okay, now I am confused?

I bought the light bar, but I put my lights on top of it instead of hanging beneath it.

I also drilled out the holes in the mounting bracket for a larger bolt to match the holes in the light bar.

Will send pictures once I am settled in to my new house.
