$40.00 each or the set of 2?
So what you get for $40 is what we see in the second picture?
If that is true, let me know how I can get my hands on a set.
I realize it will $80 for the set. Man, they look awesome.
Hey Brian, I moved this thread over to the General Motorcycle discussion.... seems to me the fun forum was just not the right spot for it.
Don't think I will install on the SE but my son might be interested. He is a bushwhacker who rides summer and winter on his KTM. In the winter he runs studded tires and goes out in the foothills and rides with his buddies.
He has a single 55w light that he runs off his stator and I believe it puts out 15 volts. What is the voltage range for these LED's ? If you know.
Can you tell how many individual LED's are in each unit, you must have opened for a quick peek, right ?
Those are some good pics of very bright lights. To bad they would not fit where my cornering lights are.
hey Brian what about looking through a welding helmet to count them
Thanks. I talked to my Son and he has a limiting resistor on his KTM so yes, they would be OK.
He will be over on the weekend to see if he wants to try them, will keep you posted.
A link would be nice Frog
Looks like a good deal to me at $100
My son liked them and would like to try them on his KTM. Will work with frog to get a set.
I may be interested is I knew how many amps they were drawing.
If someone knew that, it would help. I just don't want to load up my system, with all my extra lights.
Well I got them for my son to run on his 250 KTM, off the stator.
Blackbear show them coming with a 5 amp fuse.
We are sure looking forward to receiving them from "Frog" and get them mounted up. My son does most of his night riding in the winter time on studded tires in the foothills.
I would like them to be the same size as my cornering lights on the 1500 and I could swap them for the OEM, we will see.
Again thanks "Frog" for all your leg work in finding and sourcing the pair for my son.
From Brian's above post....
and to top it all off a pair of these lights only draw 1.8 amps compaired to the normal 10-15 amps for a set of the holagen lights....
Let me know if you figure out a way to swap them. As for now all I need is time to get these thing mounted. I know the frog is waiting for a report, and believe me man when I get these things rollin' on my wing I will report. The best I can tell everyone as of now is that is that I powered them up and yes, these things are BRIGHT!!!!
You probably just skimmed over it :funny::funny:
I promised a report so here it is. These things are great, as you will see in the pics they really light up the road a lot. I'm new to the pic adding thing so bear with me please.
Here is a pic of normal lights on....
and here are the new driving lights..
See for yourself, these things are bright. I say good deal and thanks again Brian.
Sniper do you have a pic of how the lights are mounted? They sure look bright, when mine come might just put them on the 1500. Will get another set for my son.
Hodgy, I put them on with a light bar like this...
Got the bar from Bountyhunter, thank you, wired'em up and could not wait for it to get dark . Hope this helps ya... oh and did I mention at all that I think these lights are awesome :winker:
It's an add on. Nice perch for them light huh.
Hey, I was just PMing with a guy that might be looking you up to possibly order a set. That guy is a riot.
