Ghost Rider 2 138 October 5, 2009 Hello everyone. I am at home. Just talked to Cheryl see is doing pretty good. Very sore but picking up steam. My plan is to run down and pick her up on Wednesday. Going to take trailer and haul back bike. After looking at it not sure I want to try and ride it 350 miles home. Lots of broken plastic. Fairing broke and split in several places. Right lower plastic pushed threw timing cover. Lots of it broken away. Yes I did ride it back from imopound to hospital./ But now I see it wasn't very wise. Again thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Cheryl is in very good spirits and I tell her weveryone here is asking about you. Lots of you will be getting big hugs from her as soon as she is up and going and see you. Thanks for everything. Jerry

Rudy 2 October 6, 2009 What did you go and hit a deer for? Hope you killed yours like I did mine. Them is some fast buggers ain't they? Hope Cheryl comes along ok. It's a pain getting healed, I can tell you. I broke an ankle and skinned hands, knees, elbow and butt. My son had a concussion and stitches. They make much better gloves than impact objects. tampawinger 0 October 6, 2009 WOW!!! We don't have too many accidents like this in FL. Scary to hear how fast it can happen. Heal quick stay tough. I wonder if the dear whistles really work???? Could one help avoid accidents like this?????
Devans 0 October 6, 2009 I have been doing some reading on deer and mating season and I have to agree with Tazman on this one.... there is nothing that will stop a deer during mating season, not even whistles. The way I read it, these deer would run off a 1000' cliff just to get to a doe. I think if it is going to happen, its gonna happen, and nothing is going to stop it, unfortunately

lucky_x16 0 October 6, 2009 I spoke to Jerry about an hour or so ago. He decided when he got off work to drive down to Kentucky tonight. He should be there about midnight. If you have his number, feel free to call him and keep him awake. His plan is to get up in the morning and put the bike on his trailer, and pick up Cheryl and take his time getting home. I asked that he call and let us know when he gets on the road, and when he gets home so members concerned can keep track of him, and help if the need arises.
