Strange carb issue

1994 1500A  ca model. I have been dealing with this issue for years.  The bike runs fine but the problem comes when you run it hard in a lower gear and roll off the throttle quickly which creates high vacuum.  It will  barely run, like it is running on two cylinders or something.  It is apparently sucking something in at high vacuum clogging the idle air circuit.  To fix I remove the air box lid, hit every hole in the carb with carb cleaner followed by some compressed air.  I let my boy try my bike earlier this year and it did it to him.  I thought that it was the sub filter but I just changed it and it was all in one piece even though it crumbed after removal. I also changed the cruse filter and it was good.  Any idea what is deteriorating and being sucked into the carb?
