Had my 3rd surgery for the year on July 3rd.  Knock on wood this one has gone well.  Swelled, bruised but basically all is OK.  Still have another week or so before I can do much.  The Bride mowed the grass today, the abbreviated 3 acre mowing.

The garden has taken a bad hit.  Seems the supreme household commander found some 11-11-11 grass fertilizer and did not pay attention to the crabgrass and dandelion killer part of the label.  Made everything sick.  Have to make an MD appointment tomorrow so I am going to try to find some more tomato plants we can set in the raised beds with new soil around them and not the soil with crabgrass and dandelion killer in it.  Seems something always has been biting me in the posterior the last few years with the garden.

Bad luck today.  The MD said I can resume mowing the grass.  I think "The Bride" was excited about that.  She wants to stay inside and quilt and not bounce around on the mower.

Would you rather stay in and quilt while she bounces around the yard?

It's good to hear the Dr has released you from house arrest.

WELL, I did go out and mow until it was raining so hard mowing was impossible.  Paid for it big time.  The swelling increased and some more bruising made its appearance.  Simply am pushing it too hard.  She will have to do the mowing for another couple of times.  ZTR mowers ride hard and mow so fast and easy at 7 mph that one suffers if you mow that hard.

More bruising is showing up.  Taking Rat Poison probably is more responsible than exertion.  So to cut the exertion we are headed back to Lake Shelbyville on Friday and coming back on Monday.  Maybe Sunday as they are predicting strong thunderstorm.  Have a book or two loaded on the tablet and if that does not work, Walmart is only about 6 miles away so we can load more on using their WiFi.

Supposed to be warm so we have a box fan we can sit in front of and in the shade.  Did not get our preferred site.  It was available at 8 a.m. and the boss called breakfast.  Made sure she was wanting to camp and when I finished eating I tried booking our preferred site, booked, then the 3 other sites we liked and they were reserved.  So we are going to be in one of the big motor home spots.  It is just not in the shade all day.
