Does anyone know if a 2012 final drive will work on a 2005 gl1800?

I don't believe they're interchangeable due to the difference in the length of the drive shafts.  The newer bikes have a longer drive shaft if I remember correctly.  Are you looking to replace your final drive?  If so, if you can find a local shop that does trike conversions, they generally have a number of those on the shelf and offer them at a decent price.

Looking up the parts at the Cyclemax  OEM parts fiche are as follows. ,

                          2005                          2012

 final drive      41300-MCA-A21     same

 joint shaft       40202-MCA-010     same

 drive shaft     40200-MCA-010      40200-MCA-A60

 swingarm       52100-MCA-A20     52100-MCA-S40

I cant say if the swingarm is longer on the 2012 and so it needs a longer shaft , but the swing arm and drive shaft do have different part#s than the 05. Perhaps someone has hands on experience?

The only difference is the drive shaft. Yours has the shorter shaft.
