I was just about done with getting the engine all bolted in and ready to start the plastic stuff. When I had the feeling I should look at the water pump. So off the cover goes. Is the fiber impeller OEM. Well it has kind of a bit of a wobble to it. So the whole front is off now and waiting for the pump set to come. I was so looking forward to getting a ride in this week before the snow comes. But this means no more worries about the water not moving around anymore.

I even did the brakes new deals in the calipers and was going to do the front master but the piston is the wrong size. Just seems that it's been every 6 months pull the brakes and clean them behind the seals. Dam aluminum starts to corrode and hold the piston. Things tend to get hot after a while. And it's a good way to keep the oil fresh. Just don't like having to get that side box off. Wish there was a quick disconnect there. First the chrome then the wire. Can't wait to do the tire.

While I'm at it I happened to check the wire that was wound on the stator. Now the old one that was still good had some nice size wire on it and the new one that is all burnt up well I didn't put the wire gauge on it but the slide Mic says .10 smaller. No wonder is went south so fast. It would be nice to wind the burnt core with new wire that will with stand the amp draw these bikes make to last. I will not be changing it again. Poor boy next time. Even thought I hate to change the OEM . It does look the the way to go and not have any worries.
