Got a time out

The Bride a.k.a. Estella and myself made a decision Thursday night to go camping at Carlyle Lake.  Coles Creek Army Corps of Engineer campground.

Hauled out Friday morning and got our favorite came site.  Next to a rest room and it is not a good site for those big whales to park in.  We set the camper behind some trees on grass.  Saturday morning we got up and drove to the St. Louis Zoo and spent the day.  We made a note to ourselves to pack something to eat for lunch.  Expensive meals.  $15 to park, $25 for a scooter and being we did thing to bring a couple of big sipper cups from years ago refills were only a dollar.  The girl who filled them thought they were unique as she had never seen any like them.

Weather was perfect at around 70 degrees.  We got home about 2:00 p.m. and both of us are tired but refreshed.  Only problem is there is tall grass awaiting being mowed.  And more digging thru ashes.  Some where in those ashes a pair of 350 Chevy heads are laying.  Once those are found it will be a complete engine and costing out individual parts they will be much more than a new GM 4 bolt 350 will be.

Everybody needs a break, good for you and Estella.  You two deserve it.  Sounds like you had fun.  :59fb607672645_SmileyToothSM:
