Maybe it's Time

It might be time to change my route to work.  This morning, my truck made contact with its 8th Deer.  I have hit only three of them, The other five has run into me.   Today, an 8pt buck sprinted across from the left,  I was coasting (slowing) down to a stop sign.  At the time of contact, I was basically stopped.  I didn't knock him over but made enough contact to break my left front headlight fixture.    Last Fall, I came dangerously close to having a big 8pt boy run me over on my bike.  That was the last time I rode my bike to work last year.

I live in a heavily deer-infested area as well.  Herds of 30-40 congregate in the winter near the roads, and there are year-round "hot spots" where you see deer every single day alongside the road at "deer thirty", which is the time I commute to and from work.

If I live here much longer, I'm going to start to experiment...  Moo WA ha ha...

If anyone's aware of a need for a global CIO somewhere warmer however,...

Remember, their are a certain type of deer that fly on the night of December 24th.  So far I have never heard of a submarine hitting a deer.  I would say not in tunnels or mines but I have heard that deer get into tunnels.

That will come soon enough.   A couple of Deer hunters at work always ask to borrow my truck during hunting season.   About 20 years ago when I  got my first Deer,  The State LEO thought he would be funny by asking for my hunting license.  The joke was on him when I whipped it out.  :roflmao:
