Those of us that were old enough to remember it will never forget it.

When one realizes that youngsters up to 21 years of age have no memory of it it brings back the fact that it was 17 years ago.  Have a friend who worked for the Antenna company that had all of the broadcast antennas on top of the tower.  He lost 2 friends who were in the transmitter and duplexer floor at the top.  It is scary when living a long distance from NYC that having a friend who was affected.

The world changed forever at that moment in time.

Today is eerily identical to 9-11.  It's a Tuesday,  The weather is absolutely perfect,  Not a cloud 1 in the sky.   The strange thing I noticed in the afternoon on my way home from work was the absence of jet contrails.

You never really notice something until  it's not there.

We had a little candle light ceremony at work... 2 o'clock in the morning we took an F/A-18 Hornet to the high power spot to test the engines in full after burner... We lit lit up the night like it was day time.  A couple hours later, that same plane had missiles hanging on it just in case.  Yeah, it was a bit eerie.
