Now riding a 2005 Rebel, short trips only, and a 85 GL1200 (which seems very near Rolls Royce like after getting off the Rebel).

Now looking for a 2009 1800 to get in some long trips in comfort and hopefully extend our ever shortening Minnesota riding season. (So where is that global warming crap I keep hearing about?)

Now to get back to looking for that new Wing. Any suggestions? :wave:

Ron

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

I have a 2005 Rebel also. And I have to agree with you. The Goldwing is excellent compared to the vibration of the Rebel

Welcome Ron. :wave: Not sure of your situation, but a nice used 1500 will save about half, or more of what you will spend.

I rode the 1800 and because my legs are long, didn't like the lack of knee room. My 1500 suits me just fine. As far as get up and go, to me, the difference isn't worth the extra 8-12K you'll spend. But to each his own.

Whatever you buy, you will love, I'm sure.

The 1800 I rode for 2 weeks, didnt impress me enough to spend that kind of money either. Like Mike, I agree, to each his own.

I got the same problem, dragging around mespock's baggage. In my case, it's all his fault. In your case, it's all YOUR fault............:yes:

Hi Putt,

We're practically neighbors, I'm in Cass county, about halfway between Duluth and Fargo. I'm about 100 miles from any interstate freeway and surrounded by lakes and woods. One of those Jack Pine Savages you know.
