As you know my wife Deb was diagnosed with Colo/Rectal Cancer last Feb.  She went through a 6 week series of radiation last spring that was not as successful as hoped.  She has now finished the first 6 treatment series of Chemo and more diagnostics.  The news today is not encouraging.. Although the original tumor has shrunk and is now causing much less discomfort, the small tumors in the liver are now larger and the suspected involvement in pelvic bone and in the lungs is now confirmed.  We see the chemo-oncologist later today to see what the next course of action will be.  There are still chemo options available but it is to try to slow the progress rather than cure the disease.

We will keep moving forward with hope for a reasonable quality of life for as long as possible.

Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers they are greatly appreciated

I will keep you posted .

When will the medical industry find a cure rather than just a band-aid?

Prayers for you and your entire family at this trying time!

Jim,

lots of prayers for Deb from down here in Oklahoma... that 'C' word is not man's best friend for sure.

My mom went thru that in 1954, and in those olden days, the only thing the surgeons knew how to treat it with was a knife....

the results were very disfiguring, but she lived another 45 years after that.

best wishes for your Deb...

Jim, Estella and I send positive thoughts to Deb and you.  We think of the two of you when we get on our computers as we have the monkey knot wrist bands you put on us hanging at our desks.  Best wishes to both of you.
