Evening all.

I check some other GL forums for tips and ideas and all I can say is, I sure wish we had these things several years ago. I'm not one to delve into the inner workings of an engine, but have done some "outside" work. I have a '75 GL, bought in '85 and I'm the 3rd owner. Bike has 27400+ miles on it, and is in the final stages before I finally get it back on the road. Briefly, it hasn't been ridden for almost 20 years, but recently has gone through a complete rebuild of carbs, change of belts, all fluids flushed and filled. Everything that should be taken care of to get back on the road.

I do have some experience with modifying - I dressed out my Wing, complete with a 1100 fairing/lowers and an A.R.E. Tour Pack - way back when. You can check out what the bike looked like and what I did to it 20+ years ago at: http://rides.webshots.com/album/560588072GnCGNH

Pictures for what it's going through now can be found at: http://rides.webshots.com/album/564150904HcRkSK

Thanks for being here! Hope to get into the exchange of ideas soon.

Larry

Nice ride you have there Isgyger!

You've done some nice work. I like the spoke rims with the 1100 fairing, looks good.

Got to give a special shout out and thank you to you, WVBoy. I've got "Almost Heaven - Wild and Wonderful" right across the river from me. Matter of fact, If I look out the back of my house, I can see WV.

I can't wait to get back to the hills.

The Army drug me around for 20 years and I'm stuck in the south for a few more years but I'm gonna live up in the hills again if I have to live in a one room cabin.
