Guy had a lot of money invested in it but couldn't use it on his new Harley due to the warranty. So his loss was our gain. My question is eventually I would like to hook up a cooler rack and ideas or suggestions.

Get a 12' length of 1 1/2" aluminum angle and a couple of square u-bolts. Cut the AL angle to size needed, pop rivet them together and secure with the square u-bolts to trailer tongue, or cut/weld up some old bed frames to tongue. I've done it both ways.

You'd probably want to lengthen that tongue though to give you more space to mount your cooler, less tongue weight when cooler mounted and better handling characteristics!!

Dusty that looks really nice, I wish I was the handy to make something like that. I don't even own any power tools. LOL.

Great trailer Dan!!  Just make sure you get the tongue weight correct.

Kam,

We have a heavy truck repair shop near us.  They look at fabricating and welding like we look at taking a drink of water; simple.  The guys there are open to making a buck on the side and have welded a couple things for me in the past.  They are not like the auto shops etc; they know what they are doing and do it very quickly.  I would look for the dirtiest, greasiest shop around.

I suspect that such a shop near you would fabricate and weld a frame out of angle iron for you in a flash and for just a few dollars.

Hope this helps.

I'm going to have to lengthen the tongue on my trailer about 12 inches....

Easiest way for me to do that is just buy a swivel hitch and be done with it.

Just so you know, it will void your warranty as well  ;)    Enjoy the travels ahead with a few more comforts you can bring along.

Have a bunkhouse that i welded up an aluminum frame for a coleman ice chest.

Works great.

Bunkhouse tells you that the tongue weight has to be a certain percentage of the total trailer weight.

I found on mine it is between 28-32 lbs using a bahroom scale!

I normally dont load the chest until i am almost at destination due to loss of gas mileage.

At the end of the day it is very nice to crawl into a queen size bed.

well, the swivel hitch helped the dog walking a bit, but it did not cure it.

still needs 12 inches more to make it stop.

I also found out that the 5 bolt wheels that I bought for it, are all bent!!!

yes, they wobble when you follow it and watch the tires....

3? yeah, all three, even the spare.

gotta call A&N Trailers tomorrow and see what I should do about it.

Dan, with your new trailer, does that mean your camper is going to be for sale?
