If you had a choice would you buy a 1999 wing anniversary ed. with 63,000 miles for 8500.00 or a 2002 wing 32,000 mile for 11,800.00 and why

I personally would go 2002. I am not a collector. Half the mileage. I would be able to go darkside. Parts availability. Bling and Farkle...but that's me.

I'd go with the 99 1500.

Reason.... I have rode a 2002 1800 for 2 solid weeks. I was not impressed. The power is massive on the 02 but I, personally, dont ride my goldwing like a croch rocket so it doesnt matter to me. Other than the power, there is nothing on the 02 that I would brag about. The plastic on the 02 also sounded like it was going to fall off on every bump we would hit.

I bought my 98 1500, and within 2 hours of owning it, I was amazed. The ride is smoother, the power is comparable to the 1800, I had more bells and whistles on mine than the stock 1800. The handling was great, and the driver and passenger "area" just seams bigger on the 1500 than the 1800.... to me anyway.

Im not dissing the 1800 by any means, so anyone who has one, dont take this the wrong way . This is just my observation when I rode on. This was only one 1800, and it doesnt speak for all of them.
