Struts to strong?

I have been working on the camper the past couple of days getting it ready for storage, cleaning it up, adding more lights and some simple maintenance stuff.  I guess I never stuck my head in the tub of the camper, but as I was hooking up the wiring to the electrical controller, I noticed a bright light coming in....  Upon inspection, I found the strut that lift the top when the trailer is closed up, was actually bending the bed board up in the center about 1/2".  I disconnected the strut and it was able to go back to "Almost" normal, still bent up a little.  These are the new struts that I just got from TrailMaster.  Should they be doing this?  Have you ever checked yours?

You just do not sleep on it enough to keep it pressed down....

:roflmao:

I will check ours.  Our struts do not push up enough to my liking.  Have to really put a strong shoulder force to get it up into the latched position.
