Nomad

Hi,

I'm in Kickapoo, which is on the west edge of Peoria. I've had my 1982 Aspencade since last summer. I had to sell my 1986 Concours due to hip problems, but after hip replacement, decided to take a former student up on a good deal for his 82 Wing. I really like the Wing on the Interstates and in cold weather, but it's a bit awkward at slow speeds around town and feels pretty top-heavy in the parking lots. I'm thinking about trading down to a smaller commuter bike, since I also have an '03 Nomad that's much more comfortable for my hip. Sometimes, though, as I'm cruising along at a very comfortable 70mph on the Aspencade, I think maybe I should keep it. I guess if I get the right offer, I'll part with it, but am not in any hurry to do so.

I talked to him over at SS. He has offered me a chance to buy his 82. I talked to him on the phione this morning. Told him about this place. What else can I say. We have another member.

Seems to me the Gold Wing forum sites are much friendlier and more outgoing than the VROC and COG sites have been.

I felt the same way when I got my 83, now I'm comfortable at all speeds even with a passenger and it feels weird to ride other bikes

Welcome, Nomad. The more you ride that wing, the more it'll grow on you.

Welcome! I went from riding a crotch rocket zx-1100 to a hardtail springer front ended chopper to a 1500 wing. Talk about a change! I have gotten used to the wing though it did take some time.
