The wife and I spent a few days in Boonsbourough State Park near Lexington. We started out to do the Bourbon Trail but got bored with that so I started looking for interesting roads in the area. This is one I think anyone on a bike would like.

Starting from Winchester,KY on 89 south will take you through Irving and McKee through the Daniel Boone Natl Forest. Take 89 clear down to 490 it is paved all the way but narrow for a good part with a one lane wooden bridge towards the south end. Then take 490 north to 1955 to 421 back towards the Lexington area. Be sure to get gas in McKee if needed as there is nothing south of there for a ways. Enjoy

About us

The North American Goldwings Forum is a gathering of Goldwing enthusiasts predominately from North American (but we have members from all over the world) who love to share their passion for their Goldwings! We celebrate our diversity, our tenacity for riding experiences, and a common sentiment that the Goldwing has and always will be the pinnacle of the touring motorcycle world.  Our family of Goldwingers have many common interests such as touring, trikes, sidecar rigs, classic models, camping, events, impromptu rides and most of all enjoying and expressing our experiences with our forum family. We laugh when things are funny but are deeply concerned when one of our group is having serious times. While we are first and foremost a social group dedicated to the Goldwing motorcycle, we also have a huge amount of technical information and advice! As said by one of our Senior Members “What a fantastic place to be!”.  Drop by and join the NAGF Family, we don't think you'll be disappointed!!!
