So, as the weekend approaches, we are getting ready for a week away.
Chris will be heading off in the motorhome on Thursday with a couple of other folks and trike in tow as she heads of to Tudor Rose Wing Ding near Northampton. Friday after work, I will be off on the bike to catch up with her.
Sunday will see us head off to Staffordshire for a few days. On the agenda are a visit to the National Memorial Arboretum http://www.thenma.org.uk/where, amongst other things, I need to visit the Wall where my uncle's name is carved. He was lost in an Avro Shackleton WL786 in the Indian Ocean, November 1967. Also on the agenda, the Basra memorial and the Bastion memorial to check in on a couple of friends. Also planned is a visit to RAF Cosford museum https://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/where they have some real aircraft from when Britain built world leading aircraft. Amongst the exhibits is one of only two existing TSR2s.
Next Thursday will then see us cutting back North East to Lincolnshire Wing Ding. Another weekend of wings, friends and party time before heading back home on the Sunday ready for work the following Monday.
